All possible chemicals are described, though most of the effort is put into describing sodium chloride, which is the most common chemical in use. It has been important to show how the use of salt should be made in terms of methods, equipments and ways of conducting it. A brief description of the use of sand is also included as sand replaces salt under certain conditions. The effects of salt are also shown in the report when you take into consideration traffic safety and how it affects the environment.
