	The dokument refers to the assessment of laternative materials regarding the period of their life are into the road structure. This period of the material life implies to consider short to long term interactions, which determine material's behavior and environmental effects on water, soil, ecosystems. The scope of the present document onlyconsider a the margin the road work periode, in relation to possible effects on the previously mentioned targets, but not in reltion to healt. It neither considers the prelimenary period of material processing on the factory, nor the later demolititon period. In alla these not covered periods, air pollution due to fugitive particles and gas emission, would be a major to consider. Aspescts of these periods are treated in other work-packages of SAMARIS project.
