  The Vehicle Infrastructure Interaction Simulation (VIIS) is a framework to accurately model the infrastructure vehicle interaction based on real road measurement data. Some of these parameters have an obvious impact on transport safety (e.g. skid resistance). However the combination with other parameters (curvature, cross-fall, evenness) may have a higher risk which is not as easy perceivable. VIIS – road transport safety may be used to analyse safety relevant infrastructure parameter combinations and to verify specific accident cause presumptions. The VIIS framework is used to simulate traffic and vehicle situations to deliver significant input into accident causes and road safety research. The main objective is to verify the impact of road condition parameters and road geometry data on accident causation. The simulation renders driving situation before an accident and causal combinations may be virtually tested using a sensitivity studies. The presented work describes the generation of a three dimensional road model based on real measurement data provided by the Road Surface Tester of arsenal research (RoadSTAR) and the implementation of the model in the simulation software PC-Crash (by DSD). Furthermore an accident hotspot is analysed in order to exemplify the functionality of the model. The results are discussed and an outlook on for further developments is given.
